What is included in the price?

This is the question we are asked most often, and it is a good one. A hot tub or a sauna is a big investment, and you should know exactly what you get for your money before you order. Here is the answer, in three parts: what the price includes, what you choose on top, and what falls outside the product itself.

Everything we make is made to order in Flå in Hallingdal. That means you have a say in how yours turns out, and that the specification we agree on is set out in your order confirmation.

Hot tub: what the price includes

On the L and XL hot tubs, the price covers the tub with its liner and a wood-burning stove. So you do not need to order the stove separately.

• Fibreglass liner. The liner is easy to keep clean, hygienic and needs little maintenance. With a liner, the hot tub can be used as soon as the stove is connected.
• Stainless steel wood-burning stove. The standard is 304 steel. You choose between an integrated wood-burning stove, which sits inside the tub, and an external one, which stands beside it. • Natural wood exterior cladding.
• Exterior and interior colour at no extra cost. This surprises a lot of people. The colour of the cladding outside and the colour of the liner inside cost nothing extra. The only interior colour that adds to the price is imitation granite, which looks like stone and hides small scratches.

If you would like a colour that is not listed in the online shop, get in touch. Everything is produced to order, and we can usually find a solution.

If you are wondering what is included with the Ofuro model, just ask — it is smaller than the L and XL, and we are happy to go through the specification with you.

What you choose on top of the hot tub

The equipment is up to you, and this is where two otherwise identical hot tubs end up different:

• Hydromassage or air-bubble massage. Both come with interior LED lighting, so you do not need to order interior lighting separately.
• Exterior lighting, fitted into the cladding.
• A thermal lid, which goes on the tub between baths and holds the heat.
• Interior thermal insulation between the tub and the cladding. It is often chosen together with the thermal lid.
• Wooden steps up into the tub.
• WPC cladding instead of natural wood.
• A stove in 316 steel if you are going to use sea water.

Sauna: what the price includes

Our saunas are delivered as a complete package, not as a shell for you to fit out yourself. The standard package on the barrel saunas and the other models includes:

• Benches
• A stove, wood-fired or electric
• Four small windows
• Interior lighting

Do note that we make two different square saunas, and they are not the same product. The “Firkantet” sauna is the simpler model, and can be built in lengths of up to 5 metres. The insulated square sauna, in Mini, Midi and Maxi sizes, is the fully insulated model: built in C24 grade timber, insulated with 10 cm of rock wool, with a vapour barrier and heat-reflective foil, a 22 cm ventilated wall, an insulated floor with tiles, interior panelling in aspen or lime, and a roof with an EPDM membrane. That one also includes a panoramic window, benches, interior lighting and a stove from Harvia — and on the Maxi, a changing room of its own.

If your enquiry just says “square sauna”, we will have to ask which of the two you mean. Do say which one straight away, and it will all go faster.

What you choose on top of the sauna

• A half or full panoramic window on the models that do not already have one.
• Exterior paint in the colour of your choice.
• Exterior lighting.
• Closed benches.
• The length you want, up to 5 metres on several of the models.
• Wi-Fi control and a smart lock on the insulated square sauna.
• Your name, your cabin’s name or a logo routed into the woodwork.

Several of these options are priced by agreement, because the price depends on the model, the size and what else you choose. That is why we do not list them with prices here — you get them in the quote, with your specification.

What falls outside the product itself

Three things are not part of the product price, and they are worth planning for early:

Delivery. Delivery is free within 60 km of Flå. Further afield, the freight is calculated by weight and volume, and you get the price before you pay. You can also collect from Flå yourself — for a hot tub, an ordinary trailer is enough.

Lifting it off the trailer. We drive as close as we can get with a lorry and flatbed trailer. A crane lorry or tractor for the lift itself is down to you. It is often cheapest to use someone local, and many customers arrange it entirely on their own. Read more under Delivery and setup.

The base. A hot tub needs a deck of at least 2 × 2 metres, and we recommend 3 × 4 metres. The saunas stand on point foundations. We can help with the deck and the foundation, but that is a separate job at a separate price. See Foundations and preparation.

If the sauna is to have an electric stove, it also needs to be connected to the electricity supply on site.
